![]() Also, sorry but Johnny’s your friend in this ending because that makes me happy and idk I’m the one writing this and I love that stupid man. They didn’t let us fuck any older men so now I’m out here re-writing the fucking ending to be fucking happy. I know this is a dystopian future and everything is fucked and sad but NO this is all bullshit. Give Johnny your body and let him live out the rest of his life while V stays in Cyberspace Keep your body and die in 6 months with the Nomads and let Johnny stay in Cyberspace BUT just straight up GET RID OF JOHNNY FROM YOUR MEMORY? Keep your body and die in 6 months and run the Afterlife and let Johnny stay in Cyberspace Keep your soul from Arasaka and die on earth and also destroy Johnny’s biochip Selling your soul to Arasaka and destroying Johnny’s biochip In short the endings that are “””canon””” are Is the ballerina representative of Emily, a person who was “broken” by the Hawthornes? On the other hand, the glass ballerina is wrapped in Emily’s green necklace. But if the knife is a misdirection, then what does that mean? They both viewed Avery as a mystery when she first arrived–was this wrong? Is focusing on Avery wrong? Does this mean that Nash is the only one focusing on the true objective? In fact, the knife, key, and princess crown (which I assume represents Avery being the heiress) are all tangled in some vines. It’s too long for me to type here and fully explain, so read it if you can! Jameson also holds the knife once more when Avery goes to choose him on page 351 of THL. So, if you read it with the perspective of Avery being the knife, then chapter 28 of THL is amusing and symbolic, given that the two brothers are tossing the knife back and forth at key moments of conversation, almost as if it’s whoever Avery is dedicated to at that moment. Well, Avery explicitly states “I’m not the glass ballerina. And it just goes to show how dangerous it is, because if even these 2 can agree it should be sealed then that should say something of the importance of the seal and the Moral implications of what’s down there We may not agree on the matter of our blood, but this is something that should not be released into the world.” So they made 3 roadblocks: A Projection of Mohg to wave off random intruders, a contraption to prevent people from seeing the entrance, and a Magic Seal to prevent anyone from entering while Morgott lives. Because that means that both Mohg and Morgott found the Fingers and the Nomads and came to the conclusion of, “Ok. And you beat him, get his incantation, get the +1 favor and sit down at Grace and think “Man, all that for a +1 talisman, huh.” And then? You hit behind the chest, and you see a physical contraption open a secret door, and you’re interested and go down to see “Sealed by Morgott the Grace-given”. And if you played an average playthrough you may not have ever heard of this man and thought “Oh wow, a bigger Omen, kinda has similar timing to Margit but wow does he have a lot of spells”. When you get there, you find a boss named “Mohg, the Omen”. So they’ll go back to Leyndell, get burnt, and “save” Melina.Īs a fan of the Omen Twins, the Forsaken Chapel has one of my absolute favorite examples of subtle storytelling in the whole game. They’ll hear Shabriri and they won’t want to lose Melina, the one constant source of kinship in our journey. And it’s interesting because like, it’s very similar to the process most players will go through if they do this ending. But then he probably killed his Maiden by accident in his madness, which is why he trapped himself in a snow-covered Evergaol. And Vyke couldn’t handle it so he followed Shabriri’s instructions without question. Maybe he was separated from his Maiden at some point and Shabriri, in whatever form he took, told him the deal of what the purpose of Finger Maidens are: Guiding their Tarnished and Burning. So what I think is that Shabriri got to him too. Turned back around, and descended into the sewers and became a contender for the Lord of Frenzied Flame. He had the blessing of a Dragon, he had the Faith to back it up, and he made it all the fucking way to the Forge, but then he just. Because out of all the Tarnished in the Intro and even in general, Vyke HAD IT. Because when you learn more and more about him, it becomes apparent what his story is. Vyke is such an interesting parallel to Us.
